How do I become a member?
- Bay Six Studio membership utilizes a combination of vouching and background checks to complete our membership vetting process.
- All active members in good standing at Bay Six Studio are eligible to vouch for someone to become a member.
- Once a member has agreed to vouch for you, both you and the member vouching for you must email baysixmembership@gmail.com.
- The person vouching must include your name and that they are vouching for you for membership
- You must include the name of who is vouching for you, your legal name and full date of birth as it appears on your driver's license, as well as specifying the type of membership you would like to pursue.
- At that time Bay Six Studio will complete background and national sex offender registry checks. Potential members and event attendees with sexual or physical assault charges will not be permitted membership, as well as other charges at the discretion of Bay Six Studio administrators.
- This background check will be repeated periodically on all members.
- This information will be stored for the sole purpose of monitoring eligibility for membership.
What does it mean for a member to vouch for someone for membership at Bay Six Studio?
Vouching for a potential member at Bay Six Studio means:- You know this person and have observed their conduct in BDSM settings.
- You can attest to their ability to conduct themselves appropriately, follow the code of conduct and all Bay Six Studio Rules and behave responsibly.
- You believe they will be a safe addition to Bay Six Studio
- You are willing to accept responsibility for their behavior and understand that you are risking your future ability to vouch for someone based on their behavior.
How do I become a vetted guest of a member?
- Much like becoming a member, a Bay Six Studio member must vouch for you, and agree to be present with you any time you're at a member's only event.
- Both you and the member vouching for you must email baysixmembership@gmail.com.
- The person vouching must include your name and that they are vouching for you to be their vetted guest
- You must include the name of who is vouching for you, your legal name and full date of birth as it appears on your driver's license, and specify that you will be their vetted guest.
- The background check criteria for guests is the same as it it for members.
I don't know any members, but I want to be a member! What should I do?
- Bay Six Studio has several events that are open to the public. You can find these events on our Fetlife, Facebook or Discord. Attending these events, following the code of conduct and showing that you can respect the rules at Bay Six Studio is the best way to meet folks who might vouch for you.
- Keep in mind- no member is required to vouch for you and pressuring members to vouch for you would significantly decrease the likelihood that you will be vouched for.
